Question of the Week (Class 9): It is time for a regulator of internet content…Yes or No?

It’s been a sad and difficult week. The tragedy that was the made for the web racist atrocity in New Zealand felt like it might be a tipping point for regulation of the internet. Ironic then that it followed by mere days  the House of Lords issuing a report calling for exactly that. At the same time the erstwhile father of the world wide web expressed his disappointment in what he contributed so much two, and a prominent American politician, who happens to be a former Harvard Law Professor, called for massive structural changes to internet platforms.

We will talk more about all this in class.

Some of the weeks’ stories are below (click through the image to read the full version). A deceptively simple question follows. Right now it feels like a terribly fundamental question. So think it through and go with what you really feel…

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
