We’ve seen changes to Google and social media platforms following the terrifying amount of mis-and-disinformation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, where sources are checked and links to government sites are given priority. Even if the algorithm itself cannot be directly amended, there are still avenues for the search platform to provide additional information and warn against questionable sources.
